Our stay at Sandals Royal Caribbean was wonderful due to the attentive nature of our two butlers. While staying Butler Level at a Sandals property guests enjoy the assistance of two or three butlers during their stay. Their attention to detail is only one aspect of their service as trained Guild of English Butlers.
We booked a Walkout Swim up Crystal Lagoon Honeymoon Butler Suite, which had a lovely shaded patio that walked out to the Crystal Lagoon situated near dining and the lobby. As we were not pressed upon having an ocean view but having a place more relaxed to unwind, this was the perfect location. Throughout our five days at the resort, we hardly saw a soul in our shared lagoon pool, which made it even more romantic while winding down with a beverage after dinner.
Our butler K provided us with information and services that could be performed by the butler staff: making the length of stay dinner reservations (which he had already booked our first night) and even spa treatment and excursions which we did not use this trip. This was an amazing benefit of booking Butler Level as we did not have to worry about missing out on one of the reservation-required establishments, our butler was even able to get us dinner at each one! They can even expedite all In-Room Dining orders, which made late-night use of the included room service a dream! However, my favorite service was the ability to have lunch with drinks served while I lounged on the beach. There is really something special about laying under the Caribbean sun as your served fresh fruit plates and fruit cocktails.
Another aspect of booking a Butler Level Suite at Sandals was the evening benefits. Each night our butlers K & R provided us amazing service as they greeted us with cocktails or hors d'oeuvres prior to escorting us to a romantically decorated table for two. If you are looking for a romantic stay, wedding, or to retie the knot, Sandals is the perfect place for you. Each night we were greeted by one of our butlers, escorted to our private dinner, and then greeted with a turned-down suite in the evening. The attention to detail was made possible by the training Sandals provides their butlers, as well as the preference sheet completed prior to arrival. When completing this sheet you can mention favorite drinks, snacks, if you’d like massages and more. It helps them get to know you prior to arrival, and they even keep the preferences for when you return—cause you’ll want to return!
Unfortunately, the use of the butler services ends at the end of your trip. We were meet with our butler to provide details regarding check-out (tips for butlers are not included in the rates, but we often suggest $20 per day per butler based on service) and to arrange our transportation back to reality. Despite this being the end of their services, we were able to enjoy one late farewell as they walked us to breakfast where we enjoyed mimosas and eggs benedict at Bombay Club, my favorite spot to eat breakfast at Sandals Royal Caribbean. Once we had finished breakfast our butler met us at the Sandals Club Lounge where we completed paperwork and waited for our private BMW black car to arrive for departure. As we had Club Mobay VIP Departure we were not too worried about the hustle and bustle of the airport, and instead, booked our future trip to Sandals Halcyon in St. Lucia.
Sandals Resorts are sprawled across the Caribbean Islands: Jamaica, St. Lucia, Grenada, Curacao, Bahamas, Antigua, and Barbados, but Sandals Royal Caribbean will always be in my heart. The impeccable service we received as Sandals Butler Level guest convinced us book our next Butler Level stay with them as well, and the benefits continue when you book Butler Level, as the Loyalty Desk provided us with a percentage off our future booking if we secured it prior to leaving! Honeymoon travelers, destination wedding brides, and even those couples wanting to rekindle the flame should set their eyes on Sandals Royal Caribbean…besides the impeccable service, there is so much to see and do when you can explore two resorts for the price of one!
