What to Expect at the Galveston Cruise Terminal

If you are flying into Houston to sail out of Galveston it is important to note that you will have a minimum of an hour drive from the airport to the cruise port.  For this reason, we always suggest that guests arrange to have flights arrive at least one day before your embarkation to avoid any issues with a delayed arrival.  When arriving early it also allows you a great opportunity to explore one of the Galveston experiences previously mentioned.  If you are looking for transportation to and from the cruise port make sure to talk to your Marvelous Mouse Travels agent to ensure you are working with a reputable company and have a solid timeline that will help avoid any delays.

For those who are driving to the port you will have multiple options for cruise terminal parking.  When booking your Galveston cruise terminal parking you will choose your particular ship and sailing date.  After doing so you will be able to see the location and other options such as covered parking.  Many cruise parking areas are within walking distance and also offer a shuttle service that will drop you off at the cruise terminal.  As a matter of fact, many of these parking lots are so close it appears as if you can walk to the terminal, however we recommend using the shuttle at your parking lot as walking is not recommended.  This is because the crosswalks are limited and you will be detoured to take quite a long walk.

When you arrive at the cruise parking area on the day of your cruise there will be an attendant to guide you to the correct parking area.  Many lots are used for multiple cruise lines and have a separate area for each.  Pay attention to any signs or the directions of the attendant and the signs in the lots so that you are parked in the correct area.  This will ensure you are in the right zone for your shuttle to pick you up.
