Can you believe the Walt Disney Company has been around for 100 years? Thinking about all that has been accomplished in that amount of time is pretty amazing. You really get a good look at the movie accomplishments during the fireworks show in Disneyland Park “Wondrous” they have every Disney movie represented in some way. Not to give too much away, but there also are 2 characters that take flight above the castle during the show as well!
They love to do their food guides and this one is no exception! I didn’t have time to try everything on the list, but I did try a few and my favorite was the Steamboat Willie shake at Schmoozies in DCA! I also tried the Old-fashioned cream soda at Galactic Grill but I wasn’t a huge fan of that one. I have heard good things about the pretzel at Refreshment Corner.
Quite possibly the best part is the 2 new nighttime spectaculars. We got to preview both of them and they are incredible. The fireworks show is in Disneyland and then there is a new World of Color on the water in California Adventure. World of Color “One” had a great beat and was fun to watch, Wondrous may make you a tad emotional. There also is a new parade underway and we will update the details on that as soon as we can!
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway has opened at The Disneyland Resort and is slightly different from the one located at Walt Disney World. The line queue especially is different. They have Mickey’s props from movies starting for the beginning all the way to Roadster Racers. Have a toodles fan? Be sure to take them to see this attraction! Mickey’s Toontown will reopen in March for the rest of the land. From what we were able to see, it is going to be amazing!
The fab 5 AND Chip & Dale all got new fancy outfits for the celebration. You can see them walking around town square, as well as with the dapper dans and other surprise appearances throughout the day.
So much merch! They brought back some old designs as well as some retro styles for the 100th celebration. Plus of course the purple and silver Disney100 line that has been out for a couple months now.
