World of Color Returns to Disney California Adventure!

As recently announcing many events are retuning along with new enhancements are coming! It is a very exciting time for the parks! “World of Color” nighttime spectacular has been announced that it will be returning to Disneyland resort April 22, 2022. This unique show will display of water, fire, fog, lights, music and the magic of Disney storytelling. The captivating show brings animation to life, where guests will get to relive and be part of Disney and Pixar films. During this experience dancing water will shoot high in the sky above guests on Paradise Bay. This will create a movie screen like veil of water where lasers will light up the night! Guests will see favorite scenes from movies like WALL-E or Pirates of the Caribbean displayed across the water.

Here are some fun facts about the “World of Color” that have recently been shared by the Walt Disney Company.

• first and foremost the vision of “World of Color” came directly from Walt himself! With the show beginning and ending with the theme song from “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color” 1960s television program, which was written by Disney Legends Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman.
• The projected “screen” is a wall of water 380 feet wide by 50 feet high, for a projection surface of 19,000 square feet!
• The height of the water can range from 30 feet to 200 feet – higher than the top of Pixar Pal-A-Round!
• The “World of Color” stage is Paradise Bay is nearly one acre and longer than a football field.
• During the show guests will see a bunch of their favorite heroes and villains from many of the Disney and Pixar films including Finding Nemo,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Toy Story,” “Aladdin,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Lion King.”

The show will begin again April 22 and usually lasts around 45 minutes. As a reminder this show is subject to change at any time and guests will need park admission and a park reservation to experience it!
