Everywhere Disney fans have looked in recent times they have seen the previews, merchandise, and even music from the newest Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Wish.” The film was released in theaters on November 22, 2023, and has made its way into the hearts of the fans. The film is about a girl, Asha, and her little powerful sidekick Star and how they try to save the kingdom of Rosas from an evil ruler. Asha and Star have made into multiple Disney Parks!
Asha has already begun greeting guests at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. In Walt Disney World, guests can find the newest character inside EPCOT near the World Showcase entrance. “Wish” will also be featured on Spaceship Earth with the lights of purples, silvers, and more to the song “I’m a Star” from the new movie. Asha will also be greeting guests at Disneyland Resort just outside of the Royal Hall inside Fantasyland. Just before “World of Color - Season of Light” inside Disney’s California Adventure Park, there will be a new water short production called “The Wish.” The fountains, music, and laser show projections will perform the story of “how stars can guide, inspire, and remind us to believe in possibility” as described by Disney Destinations.
A favorite part of everyone's visit to the parks, the snacks, and there is no lack of those inspired by the film. Amorette’s Patisserie is featuring a Wish Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa in Disney Springs. Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s dining area Contempo Cafe will have the beautifully decorated Ready to Sparkle Cookie, a chocolate shortbread cookie with an espresso-caramel mousse and dulce de leche whipped Panna Cotta, then covered in a mirror glaze and golden start sprinkles. Another option for those visiting the parks is at EPCOT where the International Festival of the Holidays is taking place. The current prize for completing the five Holiday Cookie Stroll stamps is another gorgeous cookie, the Star Cookie.
As with all of the major holidays, movie releases, and celebratory events, Disney releases a premium popcorn bucket and sipper in the parks! For a limited time the Valentino popcorn bucket and Star Sipper will be available for purchase at select locations throughout Walt Disney World Resorts, Disneyland Resorts, and even Disney Cruise Line. Those three destinations will also have an adorable new Magic Shot from the Disney PhotoPass. “Hold” Star,say cheese and be amazed with the magic at hand. Also available at Disneyland resort will be a Magic Shot of Star and Valentino playfully jumping around, right around Matterhorn Bobsleds exclusively for Magic Key holders. This is only available until November 30, 2023.
Are you looking to be an artist? Guests will have the opportunity to learn to draw select characters from the film at Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Drawing sessions can be found at the Animation Experience inside Disney’s Conservation Station at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park and Animation Academy inside Disney’s California Adventure Park.
