When visiting Walt Disney World, there are so many choices of where to stay! My top pick is always an onsite Disney resort...and even better if it's on the Skyliner route! Why stay at a Skyliner resort? Let me tell you....

At Disney World, you have multiple options for complimentary onsite transportation: buses, boats/ferries, monorail, and the Skyliner! I personally find the Skyliner the most convenient and the most fun! It can transport guests to Epcot & Hollywood Studios, but not Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom.
During its operating hours, the Skyliner runs pretty constantly, so you don't have to wait for it to arrive like you do the other forms of transportation. There is usually only a short line unless you are riding right at park opening or closing. It does close if there is a threat of lightning, and in that case, buses are available.

I also find the ride on the Skyliner to be relaxing and fun. It is a sky gondola that gently moves through the air with views of other resorts, greenery, and lakes. There are benches to sit on and vents for air circulation. I love to sit back and enjoy the view! For some routes, you do have to transfer at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (which is the Skyliner hub), but it is generally quick and easy.

It can sometimes be hard or time-consuming to resort hop at Disney World unless you have a car, but the Skyliner makes it really easy to visit other resorts on the Skyliner route.
Why would you want to visit other resorts? My number one reason is to have access to additional restaurants! There are some really great table services restaurants at the moderate and deluxe resorts, but even the value resorts have some good options for quick service...and they are not all the same!
It can also be fun to explore other resorts to just see what they are like. The shops are always fun and each resort can have some unique activities and decor. During the holidays, each one is decked out with decor themed just for that resort, too. Plus, you might just find one that you want to stay at on a future visit!

Not only is the Skyliner great, but the resorts that are on the Skyliner route are great options across all budget categories.

Here are some bonus resorts...While these aren't technically considered Skyliner resorts, they are within a short walking distance of the Epcot Skyliner station, so you can still easily use the Skyliner when staying at these resorts.
Definitely consider a Skyliner resort for your next Disney World vacation! A Marvelous Mouse Travels vacation planner can help you evaluate all your options and recommend the best one for your needs and budget! Contact an agent today for a complimentary quote for Walt Disney World!
