This past July, our family experienced an Adventures by Disney Danube River Cruise, and it truly redefined what luxury family travel looks like. Nick was also chosen as the “Little Chef,” helping prepare traditional apple strudel—an experience he still talks about.
Every other evening, Junior Adventurer dinners gave kids the chance to dine together and enjoy kid-friendly cuisine, regionally inspired games, and even a birthday celebration, while parents enjoyed a relaxed meal of their own. Nick also surprised us all by leading the group in a karaoke performance of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” a moment that perfectly captured the joy of the trip.
One of the most memorable highlights was being selected as the Family of the Day in Budapest. We were honored to escort a very special VIP guest—Minnie Mouse—around the city. It was a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience that truly set Adventures by Disney apart.
The thoughtful details continued throughout the cruise, from a late-night ice cream bar in Austria featuring Mozart’s favorite chocolate-covered pistachios, to evening cocktail receptions for adults with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. As we arrived in Hungary one night, we were even welcomed with late-night goulash, a warm and memorable way to end the day.
