If you’re traveling with children, Iberostar has a variety of all-inclusive resorts to choose from. Whether it’s an adults only resort or a family friendly one, there is something for everyone. This post focuses on why you should choose Iberostar for a Mexico family vacation.

While visiting the Iberostar resorts in Mexico, you will find these adorable little fur balls called coatis around the resort and on the pathway to the beach at Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo. They are so adorable and full of personality. Curious what a coati is? The coati is closely related to the raccoon. They are about the size of a large house cat, has a ringed tail, and hangs out in trees. The coati mostly gets its z's when it's dark. These animals turn treetops into bedrooms, even building comfy twig-and-leaf nests in branches for their babies. As a coati sleeps, it tucks its nose into its belly. During the day, the coati is all about snacking. It uses its long, flexible nose to probe gaps between rocks and search under piles of leaves for grub. Coatis eat insects ,fruit, rodents, Lizards, and small snakes.

Iberostar offers a full-day Star Camp for children ages 4 to 17. Monkey Star Camp is for children 4-7, Dolphin Star Camp is for children 8-12, Eagle Star camp is for children 13-17 years old.
Star Camp is open from 10am until 5pm daily.
With so much to offer, the kiddos will never get bored at Star Camp.

If staying at the Paraiso complex which is made up of Iberostar Paraiso Beach, Iberostar Paraiso del Mar, Selection Paraiso Maya Suites, or Selection Paraiso Lindo, Star Camp is shared. No worries though, there are golf carts out front of your resort to take you to Star Camp.
In the Paraiso complex, they have a shopping center which consists of a playground, carousel, pharmacy, Galaxy Disco, taco shop, Ice cream and shopping. Of course, you can hop on a golf cart right outside your resort to catch a ride to experience this shopping center.
The beach at Iberostar hotels is the perfect place to relax. The sand is soft, fine and white. The water is warm year-round and there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas available on the beach. The resorts were at 87-94% capacity at my time of visit and there were always plenty of chairs at the beach. This is perfect when traveling with kids and something most parents stress over.

While staying at Iberostar resorts depending on the level of your resort, you have resort hopping privileges. Iberostar resorts are made up of 3 levels- Iberostar (value), selection (moderate) and Grand (deluxe). This is where a travel agent is super helpful. This can be quite confusing if you are not familiar with the properties.
