We are drawing closer to the time that the gorgeous Disney Destiny, the next Disney Cruise Line vessel, will be delivered and guests will be able to step foot aboard. The theme of the ship is Heroes and Villains, and the villains are coming to play. With spectacular spaces like lounges, the Grand Hall, eateries, and so many others, Villains will be represented everywhere.

The first space you experience when stepping foot on a Disney Cruise Line ship is the Grand Hall. While the space will always feature a hero, “Black Panther” the statue that is featured at the bottom of the staircase, the Grand Hall will transform with its visitors. Embedded lighting and effects transform the Grand Hall into a villain's space when certain characters are present. Disney Destinations uses Loki as an example with a green lighted space when he is trying to "declare himself ruler of the vessel and its occupants.” Now we all know that any Disney or Marvel hero will not let that happen, but Loki is pretty magical.
Also featured in the Grand Hall, will be the trickster himself, Dr. Facilier. Entertaining guests with games of chance, be sure to not fall for his antics. We are still unsure whether it will be a scheduled appearance or just at random, but it likely will be in the Disney Cruise Line app during your sailing.
It was also previously announced that the one and only Cruella De Vil will be receiving her own space, a lounge that is. But now we also know that Cruella’s space will feature a personal runway for her. Here Cruella will offer her own commentary on fashion advice and interact with guests. It also seems that there is a chance that Cruella will perform the fabulous number of “Cruella de Vil” with the help of some guests, or maybe I should phrase that as basking in the spotlight during the performance. One will have to sail to see.

While Disney Cruise Line has amazing Broadway-style shows performed in the main theater, each ship also has a smaller entertainment space that hosts game shows, live entertainment, and usually Bingo. On Disney Destiny, this space is called the Saga entertainment lounge. Here guests will also be able to experience Maleficent with her interactive show. Yes, you can get up close and personal with Maleficent and see her magical powers with your very own eyes.
There will of course be news released as we get closer to the inauguration of Disney Destiny, and of course as our team boards for the very first time to experience it first hand. Keep your eyes peeled for the news, because with heroes and villains, you never know who is just around the corner.
