Disney Cruise Line is modifying its COVID-19 protocols. This is going to be a phased approach to updating the health and safety protocols on board. In consideration with updated guidelines from U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there will be several health and safety measures updates for sailings beginning on or after April 1, 2022. The sailings will be originating from U.S. ports of departure.
Some of the onboard options and activities that were paused due to physical social distancing protocols will resume in a phased capacity. Some of which will include physical distancing as well as resuming self service buffets. Face coverings are going to be optional in most places on the ship. Also Adventures at Port will resume in their traditional format, but the Sail Away Celebration, the Pirate’s Night deck party, and up-close character interactions continue to be paused.
Again these are changes for sailings from U.S. ports of departure. Sailings from Canadian and European ports will vary and be announced at a later date. Health and safety measures may change at any time without notice and are on a ship to ship basis.
One of the most recent changes to sailings will impact Guests booked on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy with sailings between June 3 and July 9. These guests will be receiving information regarding upcoming changes to protocol for these sailings. Guests booked on these sailings may modify or cancel their sailings without any Disney-imposed cancellation fees by April 15.
