Guests that plan to sail on the Disney Dream in the future may want to tune in to this news! The Disney Dream first sailed January 26, 2011, with its maiden voyage to Nassau, Bahamas and Disney’s Castaway Cay. This ship that has created so many memories for so many families will be receiving a few updates after its summer sailings in Europe and then will return to its home port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the fall.
The first big renovation, and probably the most important for the kids, is the Oceaneer Club space. A brand new state-of-the-art lab will be presented in a Marvel WEB Workshop. Here, guests ages 3 to 10 will be able to experience an all new space. As described by Disney Destinations, “at Marvel WEB Workshop, young recruits will be able to test new suit prototypes for Spider-Man and other heroes and conduct training simulations using WEB technology to fend off enemies from the Workshop.”
Also in the Oceaneer Club the young guests will get to experience some of their favorite characters dropping in for activities, dance parties, and more!
Edge, the kids club for ages 11 through 14 will also be getting revamped. First, it will be moving to deck 5. Here they will also have access to an outside space that will feature a ball pit and games. Edge also includes a dance floor and lounge.
An area that most guests do not get to see or experience is the Funnel Suite. The Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and now the Disney Dream will have a Funnel Suite. The front funnel is being fully remodeled into a two-story suite that is themed after “Fantasia” and “The Sorcerer's Apprentice.”

Guests staying in a Concierge level room will have access to an exclusive lounge. The refurbishment also includes an expansion of the Concierge Lounge which will have a theme after the movie “Hercules” and Mount Olympus.

The final update for the ship will be the spa. There will be more treatment rooms added for guests and the check-in for the spa will also get a facelift.
