While Universal Orlando Resorts and Universal Hollywood Studios are owned by the same company, they operate separately. This also means that Universal Halloween Horror Nights is different. While some of the haunted houses and scare zones may be themed similarly, they also feature different houses! Let’s see what Universal Hollywood Studios Halloween Horror Night has in store for the 2024 season.

Both locations will be sharing four of the same themed haunted houses this year. Insidious: The Further; Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire; Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodline; and A Quite Place will be on both coasts.
On the West Coast there will be two newly announced houses. The first is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy of Leatherface. This house is described by Universal Studios as “fall victim to Leatherface and his cannibalistic kin as they lure you into their gore-filled slaughterhouse in a gruesome original story.” This sounds terrifying.
The second newly announced house is The Weekend: Nightmare Trilogy. This music-filled house is described by Universal Studios as “The Weeknd returns in a new haunted house spawned from After Hours, Dawn FM and a horrifying new tale. Get ensnared by the most iconic moments inspired by his music videos and live performances.” If I had to guess, this house could possibly be a blast from the past with music history.
One attraction that Universal Hollywood Studios offers that Universal Studios Orlando does not is the Terror Tram during Halloween Horror Nights. The same trams that are used for the Backlot Tour are turned into the Terror Tram and guests get to experience the horror in a whole new way. Take a step off of the tram and stroll through a few haunted areas. This year's theme is Enter the Blum House. M3gan, The Grabber, and other Blum House characters will be there to make you face your fears.

The final two haunted houses that were previously announced are Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America and Dead Exposure: Death Valley. Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America is described as “resist the infernal rider El Charro or he’ll take your soul. Don’t turn your back on the devil dog El Cadejo or you’ll be lost forever. And you’d better behave or the boogeyman El Cucuy will get you.” This may make you never look at dogs the same way again. “Enter a top-secret government facility where an experiment to create super soldiers has gone horribly wrong, turning people into radioactive zombies. And they escape just as you arrive” is how Universal Hollywood Studios described Dead Exposure: Death Valley.

They will soon be ready to greet you at the gate and help you experience the fright of a lifetime! Which house are you most excited to experience? Have you ridden the Terror Tram before? The unknown of getting off of the tram and it leaving you behind is terrifying!
