The first ever U-Preferred Travel Advisor Symposium kicked off earlier this week at Universal Orlando Resort and Marvelous Mouse Travels was lucky enough to be part of it! We spent three days exploring the parks, getting to know other travel advisors, and hearing from featured speakers like the Vice President of Universal Destinations & Experiences, Fernando Flores, about the future of Universal destinations. On night one, attendees were treated to an exciting kickoff event in the new DreamWorks Land that opened earlier this Summer. It was an evening filled with networking, delightful bites, and unforgettable moments with DreamWorks characters.
As we entered DreamWorks Land, we were greeted by familiar faces from the DreamWorks universe. Characters from the Shrek and Trolls franchises added to the magic of the evening, bringing smiles and laughs to all of us attending the U-Preferred Travel Advisor Symposium . As a 90’s baby myself, having a chance to interact with Shrek and Donkey was so nostalgic and created such a fun atmosphere for the rest of the event.
No visit to DreamWorks Land would be complete without experiencing a couple of its exciting attractions though. After meeting the characters, we took a ride on the Trollercoaster and learned Kung Fu in Po’s Training Camp. The attractions were the perfect blend of fun and nostalgia, tying in seamlessly with the vibrant DreamWorks universe.
As much fun as it was, the evening wasn’t just about exploring DreamWorks Land—it was also a feast for the senses. Universal’s culinary team presented an assortment of delicious small bites like crispy mac & cheese fritters, savory spinach and ricotta ravioli, and flavorful pork belly bao buns. Of course, no evening would be complete without a treat, and we couldn’t resist grabbing an ice cream cone from Trolls Treats—a sweet end to a perfect evening.
Beyond the food and entertainment, the U-Preferred Travel Advisor Symposium provided a valuable opportunity for us to network with other travel agents and mingle with members of Universal’s leadership and support staff. We spent the night exchanging insights and discussing all things Universal destinations. From new attractions to special events, there's always something new to discover.
