More news about TRON Lightcycle/Run has recently been released. While enjoying the attraction, you are considered to be a member of Team Blue on the Grid. This signifies that you are a good guy, based on the original film. But here is where you will learn how to accomplish one thing, receiving a spot to ride the newest, upcoming attraction. Starting on April 4, 2023, TRON Lightcycle/Run will open for park guests.
Currently, you will be required to have a ticket and Park Pass Reservation (your first park of the day if you have a park hopper ticket) for Disney’s Magic Kingdom to be eligible to ride. There has also been no sign of a standby queue, just like the previously opened Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and prior to that, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, both featured at EPCOT. These attractions only featured the virtual queue and Lightning Lane option to ride.
Generally these options open at 7 AM, in the My Disney Experience app, for the virtual queue and Individual Lightning Lane. This is an advantage exclusively for guests staying on property. Guests not residing on Walt Disney World property will have to wait until park opening to gain access to the TRON virtual queue. The new attraction will also be available to purchase as an Individual Lightning Lane. Prices for different offered Individual Lightning Lane vary based on the time year.

The next newest release about TRON Lightcycle/Run is that you will have to store personal items, such as bags, into a double-sided locker system. Accessing the locker is simple, just scan your Magicband, Magicband+, or park ticket to open, but be sure to keep that item with you. Small items such as cell phones and glasses can be stored in the small compartment located on the attraction vehicle with you. When you exit the ride, you will find yourself on the backside of the locker systems, and with the scan of your ticket, Magicband, or Magicband+, you will find your personal belongings. The only other current ride at Walt Disney World that offers a locker system is Disney’s Kali River Rapids inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
