Dining is one of the MOST important things to me when I plan my family vacations. On our latest trip to Walt Disney World in March of 202, we planned to try out a few Disney dining establishments we’ve never been to before. Trying these different restaurants made our kids' first full trip extra special. Isn't that what travel is all about--making everlasting memories? During this COVID-19 trip, we were able to experience three character dining restaurants, but I’ll focus on our experience at Topolino’s Terrace!
This has become one of my favorite breakfast restaurants on property. Before this trip, I enjoyed dining at Chef Mickey’s located at the Contemporary Resort. I still love Chef Mickey’s, but Topolino’s has my full attention at the moment. Not only was the food out of this world and character interactions amazing, but the Riviera Resort itself is breathtaking. This is definitely on our resort bucket list for our next stay. I mean, have you seen their one-bedroom option?
Upon entering the resort we were sent to the elevators to the tenth floor. Once the doors open you are immediately immersed in an elegance like no other. The bright silver and gold colors and marble floors make this a romantic dining establishment for dinner. So if you are interested in fine dining after the sun starts to set--this would be a fantastic proposal location! My family was instantly swept away by the beauty of this restaurant. We even decided to have this breakfast be extra special as we surprised our 5-year old with the news of a week at Disney World! Our table was beside a wall of windows which gave us a gorgeous view of the sprawling Riviera landscape. I did enjoy watching the Skyliners as I sipped happily on my morning coffee. Our waiter was attentive and brought a smile to the table each time he came around, and even provided me with the option of a side of eggs with my meal for our one-year-old to chow down on.
Our meals were 100% fantastic! My husband had the Spiced Sausage Hash with potatoes and a delicious poached egg on top. Our picky five-year-old enjoyed a humongous fruit plate with honey yogurt and a variety of fruit. And I was spoiled with starting my morning with their wood-fired butchers' steak. I mean, who doesn’t want to start the day with perfectly cooked and seasoned wood-fired steak, polenta, and wild mushrooms?!
Characters continued rotating throughout our entire meal and even stopped close to the table for photos. This was my son's first time interacting with characters, so we were excited when he loved Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy dressed in their art-inspired outfits. During the dining experience, they announced the characters' arrival (they would come out together or individually) with music. I didn't notice a bad seat in the house during my trip. This is a sought-after dining establishment, so make sure to snag it when your window opens. This meal costs $42 per adult (including your non-alcoholic beverage) and $27 per child. This is surely a dining experience you do not want to miss.
