Top 5 Things to Do at Oogie Boogie Bash

One of my favorite things about the Disney parks are the after hours parties. I have been to numerous parties at Walt Disney World, but this was my first time attending Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland’s California Adventure Park. Here are my top five favorite things about Oogie Boogie Bash 2022!

1- Frightfully Fun Parade. This was the highlight of the night for me! The approximately 20 minute parade begins with the Headless Horseman riding down Buena Vista Street, with Ichabod Crane tip toeing ahead. You are sure to see all of your spooky favorites including Jack Skellington, Jafar, Ursula, Dr. Facilier, and more! I recommend finding a place to watch the parade ahead of time to ensure a great view of the characters.

2- Treat Trails. This will be your children’s favorite part of the party! There are multiple treat trails throughout the park where you will be given copious amounts of candy, Rice Krispie treats, Goldfish, applesauce pouches, etc. Along the treat trails, you will also find characters! We saw Madam Mim, Sid, Maleficent, and Ernesto de La Cruz.

3- Character Interactions. There were opportunities to take pictures with characters you don’t usually see in the parks. Our favorite was the Sanderson Sisters! Clarabelle, Daisy, and Minnie made the most adorable witches. We also spotted Mickey, Donald, and the person we don’t talk about… Bruno!

4- Rides. Not only are wait times lower during parties, but some are modified especially for the party. Guardians of the Galaxy-Mission: Breakout! transforms into Guardians of the Galaxy- Monsters After Dark. Who doesn’t love a ride with baby Groot? Web Slingers and Radiator Springs Racers also had much lower wait times than earlier in the day.

5- Food. I love finding the exclusive snacks at the parties! This year’s snacks exclusive to Oogie Boogie Bash include loaded steak fries, churros, and corn dogs dipped in black batter. There was also an exclusive drink with a glow cube at the Hollywood Lounge.

Halloween at Disneyland is amazing! I could easily make a list of ten things to do. Everything from the decor to the characters was top notch, and I can’t wait to go back!
