10. Check out the nightlife at Downtown Disney! There are so many great restaurants and lounges at Downtown Disney that you will have trouble narrowing down just which ones to dine at! My favorite is Tortilla Jo’s for the guacamole! There is also live music at different stages throughout the district to enjoy! Many restaurants do take reservations so reach out to your Marvelous Mouse Travels agent to set those up!
9. Grab a drink at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar! You never know what will happen in this zany bar! The interactive bar tenders make this more than just your average bar and soon you will be chanting along. Its sure to be a night you will not forget!
8. Make sure to schedule in some down time by the pool! What’s a vacation if you don’t relax a little bit? The pool bars at the Disney Resorts offer a great selection of drinks served right to your pool chair! Staying at an onsite resort is great for this because you can hit up early entry at the parks, head back in the afternoon for a dip in the pool and then be back in the parks for the evening shows and to finish up the last few rides!
7. Don’t sleep on the “kiddie rides” just because this is an adult-only Disneyland trip! You don’t know how fun it can be to soar on an elephant or ride an enchanted pirate ship to Neverland even in adulthood! Plus, since you can stay up passed bedtime, these lines are very short in the later park hours as the kiddos have left the park.
6. Consider scheduling your trip during a Special Event! Oogie Boogie Bash at Halloween time is so much fun! The California Food and Wine Festival at California Adventure in the spring is a fantastic time to go and enjoy all the culinary delights that region has to offer! Disney’s Festival of the Holiday is a great way to celebrate the most wonderful time of year!
5. Relax at the luxurious Tenaya Spa! Schedule a treatment and find the true meaning of relaxation! Disneyland days can be stressful so why not take a break and get a nice massage or cleansing facial. You’ll be rejuvenated and ready to tackle 10,000 more steps at the Happiest Place on Earth!
4. Stay at a Disney-owned resort! Disney owns three hotels in California- Grand Californian, Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier. I would recommend the Grand Californian for almost all adult trips! Your rooms are so close to the parks here! They even have a dedicated entrance to California Adventure that puts you right in the action within steps of your room! So easy to go back to the room for a quick nap or just to cool off on a hot day!
3. Upgrade your room to Club Level! This will give you access to a host of amenities to take your trip to the next level! Enjoy a lounge with a variety of complimentary snacks and beverages (Including beer and wine) available throughout the day. This is especially convenient at Grand Californian Hotel since you are steps away from the park. Hope off Grizzley River Run and head right upstairs for an afternoon glass of wine.
