Recently, Disneyland has announced that Princess Tiana’s dream is coming to life! The Princess is filling the parks with a restaurant, an attraction, and a newly opened retail shop. Tiana is proving that dedication and hard work really do pay off.

She is getting her very own restaurant in New Orleans Square. The new restaurant, Tiana’s Palace, is set to be a quick service restaurant with offerings of authentic food that you would find in New Orleans. Currently the restaurant is the French Market Restaurant and serves items with a cajun-creole flair, but is set to close mid-February 2023 for the revamp. Also closing during this period is the Mint Julep Bar, which serves the fresh, mouth watering Mickey beignets. But do not worry! Mint Julep Bar will be reopening when Tiana’s Palace does sometime later in the year. You will also still be able to find some of the favorite menu items currently served at the location when it does reopen.

Tiana is also set to get a “new” ride! While the ride itself is not new, Splash Mountain, will be receiving a new theme and name! Splash Mountain will soon be closing its doors and when they reopen, it will be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. How exciting! The ride is inspired by the Disney movie The Princess and the Frog, and you are sure to come across beloved characters from the film. The new ride will be at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, and is set to open in 2024. Do you think the ride will feature a song from the film or an original created specifically for this attraction? I cannot wait to find out!
