If you have been to Disneyland recently you may have noticed some construction inside Downtown Disney and Disneyland Hotel. Downtown Disney will be under construction with a possible completion date of late 2024, however Disneyland Hotel has officially opened one completed portion of their construction phase. A great way to ring in Fall is with the opening of The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.
With the opening of this new tower, it marks the 16th property for Disney Vacation Club Members. It also is the 4th tower at the Disneyland Hotel Resort. The first three are named “Adventure,” “Frontier,” and “Fantasy” just like the lands inside Disneyland Park and Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The newest addition is named “Discovery.”
The “Discovery” tower will house 344 themed rooms spread across 12 stories, each detailing stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios.
During the opening ceremony, there were so many guests in attendance. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Moana, Elsa, Anna, and Tianna were onstage to help celebrate this monumental occasion. Also there to celebrate were King Louie and Baloo from Disney’s The Jungle Book! Disneyland brought out the best to kick off the opening of the tower, all of which are highlighted inside the tower's theme.
The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will feature five different room categories for families of almost all sizes! The Duo Studio will sleep two, perfect for the adults only getaway or even a parent/child get away! A Deluxe Studio will be able to sleep up to four guests. The next two room categories are one and two bedroom villas with the one bedroom sleeping up to five guests, and the two bedroom sleeping up to nine guests. The final villas category is the 3 Bedroom Grand Villa that can accommodate up to 12 guests, perfect for families traveling together. The Grand Villa features a washer, dryer, full-sized kitchen, and even a fireplace that can be seen from the living room and the balcony outside.
For those traveling with littles, be sure to stop by the adorable Steamboat Willie splash pad located at the new Palette Pool! Also coming a little later this year will be a poolside bar, featuring tasty snacks and drinks, named Palm Breeze Bar.
