Carnival Celebration is the newest ship in Carnival's fleet and it is the second in the Excel class! Its sister ship is the Mardi Gras and these two ships are almost twins!
Let’s talk about some of the newest and awesome activities that you can do on board this amazing ship! All of these are going to be found on the top decks of Celebration (Decks 18-20) in the Ultimate Playground.
Bolt is the first and the FASTEST rollercoaster at sea. On this rollercoaster, you are strapped in a car that resembles a motorcycle. This track gets high above sea level. What’s really cool about this coaster is YOU can actually control how fast it goes! You can just hang on and take the ride going around 38-40mph OR you can hit that gas and get up to 45mph (hunt the record for the fastest speed is 44.4mph-try and beat that!)! Something amazing about this coaster is the VIEWS!! This coaster is a must at least 2 times on board! Once at sea and once on a port day! Doing this coaster on a port day gives you a 360 view of the port you are in! Just a great way to view your city! Make sure you pack some closed toed shoes and take a trip on BOLT, This Ultimate Sea Coaster, on your next cruise!!
Mini Golf is a great way to have some laid back fun. Whether you want to go alone or with your family, it's a great time. This is all included with your cruise and anyone can participate. This is located in the aft of the Celebration and you can even cheer on the people riding the BOLT coaster as it goes right over the course.
If you like waterslides, this is the place to be. Fun for all ages!! There’s a section for the littles that aren’t ready for the pools and slides where they can splash around and dump buckets of water on one another. Then as we move up there’s multiple different water slides depending on how high you want to go! Small ones, medium ones, and ones that go all the way to the 20th deck! This is the heart of the ultimate playground and in the middle of everything so you can easily reach the ropes course, BOLT, and mini golf when here.
This ropes course is not one to miss. This course has two different tracks you can try, one is easier, and one is a little harder. This is also another way to see the views up high because this course makes a big circle around part of the ship, so you get to see all the points of view. On each side there are different types of platforms, for example one could be a balance beam, a rope net to walk across, sideways ladders, and more. There was even a section that lets you stand over the side of the Celebration to look out at (If you are scared of heights, this is one to avoid).
