Calling all Princesses! Are you ready for a Princess Adventure? I have the perfect idea for you! Grab your best Princess dress and glass slippers because it’s time for the Princess Breakfast Adventure. Your Adventure begins at Napa Rose located in Disney’s Grand Californian Resort. As an aspiring Princess, I was blown away by this experience. It truly is a cut above the rest!
I arrived for my breakfast and was immediately transported into a fine dining experience. You will begin your Adventure in the Napa Rose Lounge where you will enjoy the beautiful sounds of Disney songs played by a very talented guitar musician. From there you will relax in the lounge and wait for your Adventure Guide to take you to your own personal Princess meet and greet. If you have been missing character interactions THIS is the breakfast to attend! I was guided out to the patio to meet with two Disney Princesses. In total the breakfast features eight Princesses including Belle, Pocahontas, Aurora, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Ariel, Milan, and Tiana. On the patio the Princesses interact with you one on one. They ask you questions, tell you a little bit about their life, and pose for pictures. It really is a personal experience that Princesses and Princes will enjoy!
After I met with four Princesses, I moved from the Lounge to my table. The decor was exquisite and beautiful. The floral arrangements and rose napkin display set the tone. Be prepared for a lot of food as this is a three course meal and is meant to be enjoyed. First course was a beautiful display of appetizers including Tiana’s beignets, yogurt parfaits, mini lobster rolls, and few tea sandwiches. All were delicious! You will also receive a delicious assortment of breads and scones to nibble on as well. Remember when I said be prepared for a lot of food:).
Don’t forget to order a fun drink to accompany your meal! I recommend the “Still Royal After Midnight” mimosa and the “Awakening Beauty”. For a non alcoholic drink I recommend “The Colors of the Wind” drink which actually changes colors!
Second course is the buffet course. They have all of your breakfast favorites including Mickey waffles, eggs, mac n cheese, fruits, veggies, and mini burgers. I loaded my plate and sat back down to indulge when out of no where a basket of steak fries with different sauces was delivered to my table. I’m telling you they have thought of everything! You can take multiple trips to the buffet but make sure you leave room for what’s next…
Now for the Grand Finale…dessert! Oh my goodness was this plate a work of art. My plate featured five different desserts each representing a Princess. It’s hard to choose a favorite but the Ariel seashell macaron might top my list! But before I could eat, my amazing adventure guide/server made sure to sprinkle my desserts with Pixie Dust. Disney Magic at it’s finest! After my last course I was gifted a bag with a Disney pen and a signed postcard from the Princesses. I was also gifted a Disney Princess Swarovski Necklace (Princes receive a sword and shield). Talk about a full service experience!
After the final course my Adventure was far from over. I headed out to the other patio to meet more Princesses and even had a little story time with Belle. After your meal you can stay and interact with the characters as long as you like. For me the entire experience was a little over two hours but I could have easily stayed longer. The Princesses were on point too! I was meeting with Pocahontas and ask if I could take her picture for a Blog. Her response was “What’s a Blog? I don’t think we have those where I live.” Way to stay in character, P!
In my opinion, this is the best character breakfast I have ever attended. You have ample time to meet with characters, exquisite food, excellent service, and I never once felt rushed. So if you are looking for a truly unique, personal, and delicious experience, this far exceeded my expectations. It’s a must do!
