The crew on Disney Cruise Line is something spectacular. When you are sailing, you do not feel like you are on a ship with workers, you feel like you are on a ship with family. From the captain to the stateroom host, they do not disappoint.
When you arrive on Disney Cruise Line, there is crew lined up to welcome your family aboard. They announce your family name, party with you and then help you on to your next step in the boarding process. Now, post covid, you have crew help you find your muster station before pointing you in the direction of your stateroom. Everyone is friendly and helpful throughout the process.
Once you arrive to your stateroom, you meet your stateroom host. This is the person caring for you and all of your room needs throughout your sailing. Stateroom hosts make sure every bit is magical, with special touches like towel animals and bedtime chocolates. They will also come in and set up your room to enjoy during the day, and prepare it for sleep.
Our Captain aboard the Dream told us to live by the motto, “If you see it, eat it.” This brings me to my favorite crew of all, the dining staff!! Aboard Disney Cruise Line you experience rotational dining. This means you eat in a different restaurant each night. The fun part about this is your dining staff moves with you!! This is the staff you will have the most interaction with throughout your sailing and also the ones known to make the biggest impact. Does your kid love ketchup? No fail, your staff will be there every night, putting ketchup in the shape of Mickey on their plate. They will have that chocolate milk waiting when they arrive, and many of them even preform magic tricks each night!
I’d like to give a large shout out to all of the crew on board the Disney Dream sailing September 13, 2021, as they were phenomenal. Everyone of them! Right now with covid protocols the only difference in your staff is the masking as well as some of the before self service stations, are now stationed with staff members to help you, so you still get the top notch service. With the cruises being at lower capacity, you actually have a large crew to passenger ratio, giving you that much more magic!
