I just returned from The Armony Luxury Resort & Spa and I feel like this may just be one of Mexico’s best secrets that is about to get out!
The Armony Luxury Resort & Spa is an adults only all-inclusive resort in the Marival Resort Collection. The resort is located in Punta de Mita, a picturesque coastal village located on the Pacific coast of Mexico, in the state of Nayarit (about a 40 minute drive from Puerto Vallarta).
Here you will find some of the most luxurious accommodations with scenic views. There are 268 rooms consisting of standard rooms as well as One and Two Bedroom suites. The standard rooms will either have a King or Two Double Beds.
The rooms themselves were very spacious and modern offering some of the most breathtaking views from a private balcony. The views and location will vary between the different room types.
I was able to tour a few of the different room options but the most impressive was the Allure Suite with the swim-up infinity pool. These rooms offer a full bathroom along with a standalone soaking tub. You will also find a treadmill in your suite for a private workout. Those looking for a honeymoon or just a romantic getaway truly need to consider these rooms.
For me, dining options are very important when considering an all-inclusive resort. You will find four restaurants at The Armory Luxury Resort & Spa.
My favorite dinner was at Divum. This is an upscale dining option available only for dinner, offering a farm-to-table concept inspired by the region. I really enjoyed my meal here and loved that the different courses were small plates. I often want to try so many different options but usually am stuffed by the time the main entrée comes. Reservations are required.
At Essence you can explore a symphony of well-crafted dishes inspired by globally renowned culinary traditions, offered for dinner. I highly recommend that you get the “Mexican Coffee”. Reservations are required.
Another great place to find yourself in the evenings for some small bites and great cocktails is Insu. At Insu you will also find some of the best ocean views during sunset. Insu is open during the evenings starting at 6:00 PM and no reservations are required.
Lastly, you may find yourself most at La Brise. This is a sumptuous buffet option that offers a variety of options. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast while overlooking Destiladeras Beach. I enjoyed whale watching while sipping on a mimosa while pondering the question, does it get much better? My absolute favorite part of La Brise was the fresh Taco bar!
There are two amazing bars to enjoy. Blend and Drops.
Blend is located in the heart of the resort and offers some small bites and along with a wide selection of beverages including coffee. This was a perfect place for me to come and knock out some work and answer some email. In the evenings you will find some of the best live entertainment.
Drops is the Armony’s exclusive poolside bar where you will find a DJ and some of the best bartenders crafting a cocktail of your choice. I recommend that you order a “La Playa Marival”!
This is perhaps one of the BEST spa experiences you will find at any resort. The Melange World Spa at Armony offers treatments from 9 different cultures around the world. You can also find beauty salon services as well as Hydro Therapy with a private hot jacuzzi and cold plunge.
I was lucky enough to tour each of the individual treatment rooms and the India Room was by far my favorite. It truly gave off a zen vibe!
The main pool at Armony is where I wanted to spend most of my time. There is a swim-up pool bar and the infinity edge view looking out into the ocean. You will also find several quiet pools around the resort.
You will find amazing service around the pool whether you are looking for a drink or a poolside meal, you won’t wait long at all.
There is a private jacuzzi but you do have to pay more to access. There are also cabanas that you can pay to reserve.
You can access Destiladeras Beach very easily where you can participate in some water sports. Included water sports are body-boarding, paddle-boarding, kayaking or taking out a Hobie Cat. You can also pay for some more premium water sports like surfing, kiteboarding and jet skiing just to name a few.
I enjoyed just strolling the beach and the best part NO sargassum, unlike what you may experience on the eastern coast!
I really enjoyed seeing all the different resort activities that you can participate in. You can enjoy morning yoga, watsu, sound healing.
One of my favorite activities was the Cold Plunge Challenge where you had to see if you could last three minutes dipped in a cold plunge tub filled with ice. Of course, I spent more than three minutes watching others attempt this feat.
In addition to the daily activities you will also find special entertainment nights like Glow with the Flow, a fun neon party with dancing, specialty cocktails and fun music. You will see the schedule posted around the resort as well as you receive a paper copy upon check-in

There are some experiences you can enjoy at an extra cost that will enhance your stay at Armony and make it an unforgettable experience.
First, I would highly recommend that you do the Floating Breakfast for Two. This is a unique way to start your day. I never knew how much I would enjoy drinking coffee and mimosas in the jacuzzi. You will have a dedicated attendant to serve your drinks and breakfast. It was amazing.
Another experience that you should consider is a Catamaran Cruise. Depending on the time of the year you visit, you will be able to experience some up close whale watching. The concierge will be able to help you book this experience.
This resort not only exceeded but blew my expectations out of the water. The quality of the food and drinks was next level. The top-shelf drinks were top shelf and I had probably the BEST Lime Margarita at Blend.
The resort grounds are pristine and well maintained. I cannot remember staying at a cleaner resort.
The service of the staff was exemplary. They all went above and beyond to make sure your vacation was as perfect as it could be.
I would not only highly recommend this resort to travelers looking for an adults-only getaway, but I cannot wait to go back with my wife!
