All-Inclusive resorts like Moon Palace Jamaica can have many different room types and layouts to choose from, which can get confusing! Out of ten different room categories at Moon Palace Jamaica, which one would be right for your vacation? Read on to get a quick breakdown of each one to see which is the best pick for you! Then ask your Marvelous Mouse Travels agent to book just the right room for your family when visiting Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
To make it a bit simpler, I’ve organized the ten room categories into three groups based on maximum occupancy: for two, four, or six guests. I’ve also listed which building the rooms can be found in: the North Tower, the main lobby building which is the largest tower, or the all-suite Cabana Building just south of the lobby building.
There are four different room types that have a maximum capacity of two guests, perfect for couples or friends traveling together. The entry level room category is the Deluxe Resort View Room. This room type is 301 square feet and comes with either a king size bed or two doubles (bedding configuration can be requested but not guaranteed), walk in shower, and a French balcony. These rooms in the North Tower face away from the rest of the resort, so be sure to ask your travel agent to request a higher room level to avoid noise from the streets behind the resort!

The next room category for two guests is the Deluxe Ocean View Room, which is the same room size and configuration in the North Tower but faces the pools and beach of the resort, giving a gorgeous sunset view over the bay from your French balcony.

If you are a couple traveling together and would like to 100% guarantee that you have a king size bed in your room, the Superior Honeymoon Deluxe Room is the only non-suite room to allow you to do so! These ocean view rooms with walk out balconies are found in the main lobby building facing the resort pools and beaches, and are a bit larger at 323 square feet.

For the largest two person occupancy rooms and the only suite category to guarantee a king size bed instead of two doubles, book a Superior Governor’s Suite. These can be found in the all-suite Cabana Building, have a balcony, guaranteed king size bed, jacuzzi tub, and a living room area separate from the bedroom.

There are also four different room types with a maximum capacity of four guests at Moon Palace Jamaica, which are very popular due to the family friendly nature of the resort. Perfect for families on a budget, the Deluxe Resort View Room with Balcony offers 301 square feet of space. Located in the central lobby building, these rooms have walk out balconies and come with either a king or two double beds (configuration can be requested but not guaranteed). The resort offers more rooms with double beds than kings to better accommodate families, but be sure to ask your travel agent to put in a request ahead of time if you have a preference! You can also request a crib, pack and play, or rollaway bed in your room as well. These rooms also face the back of the resort, so again, I would also recommend putting in a request for a higher floor if you are sensitive to street noise.

Superior Deluxe Ocean View Rooms offer a bit more space at 323 square feet, and face towards the bay with beautiful sunset views. They also offer either a king size or two double beds and a walk out balcony, and are also in the main lobby building.

There are two suite room types for a maximum of four guests: Superior Junior Suites Ocean View and Superior Walk Out Suites. Both are located in the all-suite Cabana Building and have similar interior layouts with either a king size or 2 double beds (configuration can be requested but not guaranteed) and a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom as well as a walk in shower. The difference lies in the outdoor portion of the room; Junior Suites have a walk out balcony facing the ocean, and Walk Out Suites are on the ground level and have a walk out patio leading you straight out onto the beach.
There are also four accessible suites with a maximum capacity of four guests found in the Cabana Building that can be requested through your travel agent.
The two largest room types at Moon Palace Jamaica hold a maximum capacity of six guests, perfect for larger families. The Superior Family Deluxe Rooms are essentially two connecting rooms, one with a king size bed and one with two double beds. These connecting rooms are found in the main lobby building. They even come with an Xbox and beach toys for the kids!

The largest suites offered are the Presidential Suites. There is one Presidential Suite in the North Tower building, and one Presidential Suite in the main lobby building. Both are two bedroom suites, one with a king size bed and the other bedroom with two double beds. The layout and square footage of each suite is slightly different however; the main lobby building Presidential Suite has one main door leading to the foyer and living room area of the suite, while the North Tower Presidential Suite has two entrance doors leading off of a shared foyer area, making the suite more similar to two connecting rooms rather than a true 2 bedroom suite.
Whichever room type is right for the size of your party and which view you choose, be sure to let your travel agent know of any requests, like bedding configuration or floor preferences, as soon as possible after booking! The earlier that your request is put on file with Palace Resorts, the better the chance that your request can be fulfilled. Interested in booking your own vacation to Moon Palace Jamaica?
