Tasting My Way Through the Aquadome Market on Star of the Seas

The Aquadome itself is jaw-dropping—soaring glass ceilings, sweeping ocean views, and that electric energy from the AquaTheater just steps away. But tucked inside all that beauty is one of my new favorite places onboard: the Aquadome Market. Think of it like a trendy city food hall, but floating at sea. It’s casual, quick, and bursting with flavor. And let me tell you, deciding what to eat here might just be the hardest decision I’ve made all cruise.

Aquadome Market on Star of the Seas

The Aquadome Market on Star of the Seas is home to five unique stalls, each with its own flavor personality:

  • Crème de la Crêpe – Sweet or savory? Both, please. I love how they make the crêpes fresh, flipping them right there in front of you. One second I’m drooling over a gooey Nutella crêpe, and the next I’m eyeing the ham-and-cheese with herbs. It’s impossible to pick just one.

  • Feta Mediterranean – If you’re craving something fresh and bright, this is the place. Think gyros, flatbreads, hummus, crisp salads—it’s a taste of the Mediterranean without leaving the ship. After a couple of indulgent meals elsewhere onboard, Feta feels like the perfect “reset” stop, while still being packed with flavor.
  • Pig Out BBQ – Oh my goodness. The smell alone will pull you in. This stall is all about smoky classics—think ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and all the fixings. It’s messy in the best way, and I can already see this being a go-to after a long day exploring in port. Comfort food heaven.

  • Mai Thai – Bold, zesty, and full of color. This stall brings Asian-inspired street food flavors right to the Aquadome. I spotted noodle bowls, dumplings, maybe even a satay skewer or two. Everything looked so vibrant and fresh—I could happily order one of everything and call it dinner.

  • La Cocinita – Fun, flavorful, and impossible to resist. This one’s all about Latin street food, from tacos and tamales to bold, spicy bites that make you want to grab a margarita and head out on deck. I think this might be my personal favorite… though honestly, I’ll probably change my mind after my next visit.

What makes this market so fun is the variety. You can go light and fresh, stick with comfort food, or lean into bold flavors—and if you’re like me, you’ll just mix and match until your plate looks like a mini world tour. Portions are perfect for sampling, which makes it easy to try a little bit from each stall without feeling like you overdid it.

Now, if you’ve been on Icon of the Seas, you might remember their Aquadome Market. The concept is the same, but the lineup on Star feels refreshed and reimagined. They’ve kept a couple of favorites—Crème de la Crêpe and Feta—but swapped in Pig Out BBQ, Mai Thai, and La Cocinita for a brand-new flavor mix. It’s not a copy-and-paste situation; it really feels like Star of the Seas has its own culinary personality.

Bottom line? The Aquadome Market is a spot I know I’ll keep coming back to, whether it’s for a quick bite before a show, a late-night snack, or just because I walked by and something smelled too good to resist. My only complaint is that I can’t be in five places at once—because every single stall is calling my name.
