Taking Kids to Kennedy Space Center

Want to bring your kids to Kennedy Space Center (KSC)? Find out what they can do!!

When you think of the Kennedy Space you think “rockets, astronauts, a museum”. Yes absolutely! You are going to see all of that! However, some parents may think are my kids going to get board? Is it worth the price of admission to bring them? The answer is YES!

There are so many things for ages 0-100 at this wonderful attraction in Port Canaveral, FL, but let’s talk about the stuff for the littles!

Taking Kids to Kennedy Space Center Rockets

First off coming right into KSC, Is the rocket garden! This unique garden holds lots of different space vehicles and rockets that NASA has used in their mission over the past years! Some of these rockets even allow you to climb inside them! Isn’t that cool? But something I really like for the kids, is nestled right in the back is a little splash pad. If it’s a super hot day or you want your little to run off some energy, you can sit on the benches and let your little one run through all the sprinklers (better bring a change of clothes if you participate).

Speaking of running off energy? Let’s talk about the main Play Place at Kennedy Space Center - PLANET PLAY! Planet Play is a fully-immersive indoor playground for kids aged 0 to 12. This interactive play center lets children play and learn with interactive gaming, playgrounds, and so much more. The kids can walk on Saturn’s rings, slide through an asteroid field, and so much more. There’s even a spot for the babies and toddlers aged 0-3 called toddler play where they can be safe playing. Want to know what the parents can do while the kids play? You can relax in the lounge area, directly next to the play space with a coffee, wine, or beer. You can sit and play on interactive gaming tables as well all while keeping an eye on your kiddos. You can spend more of the day in this area alone!

Let’s keep moving towards the back of the KSC - Space Shuttle Atlantis! The mission zone has two activities that you do need to be 38in to do. The first activity is crawling through a replica of the International Space Station. This is suspended on the second level ceiling. You won’t want to miss the clear tube that gives you a fantastic view.

The second activity is an huge 22-degree slide. The slide simulates the adrenaline rush of returning to Earth in a shuttle.

Of course there’s so much more in the Kennedy Space Center, but knowing your kids are going to have an awesome time here too makes it even better!!

This is a perfect addition to a pre or post cruise out of Port Canaveral and one of our Marvelous Mouse Travels agents can help set that up for you!
