Marvelous Mouse Travels recently returned from a 2-night galactic adventure aboard the Halcyon Starcruiser. Take a look at our out of this world cabin!
We stayed in a standard cabin. Our sleeping arrangements included one queen bed, two twin-sized berths (bunk beds), and one twin-sized pull down bed. Our cabin included a pullout table, two stools, a television, full size bathroom, and our own personal window out into the galaxy.
I was pleasantly surprised that there was so much “space” in space. The Starcruiser room was much larger than I anticipated. There was storage under the bed, in the stools for the retractable table, and two closets. We had four adults staying in one room and never felt cramped.
I know the bunk beds have gotten a lot of chatter about looking small. They really aren’t! If you’ve ever taken a Disney Cruise and used the berth there, this one was much larger. Each bunk had a full size twin mattress and was almost like a little pod! Plenty of room to stretch out and even stash some electronics or toys!
The entire experience on the Halcyon Starcruiser is completely immersive and your cabin is no different! The Halcyon Starcruiser symbol was found in special places throughout our cabin, including embroidered on the towels and linens.
We had some really neat high-tech elements in our cabin as well! This included our window that changed views as we continued our journey in space. We could also raise and lower the screen on the window to adjust the room lighting.
One of the neatest aspects of our cabin was our very own droid! She came to life anytime we tapped our M Band (Magic Band) on the corresponding board. Her interactions were great! They included general information about the ship if needed, but also adventures. Once she asked us to negotiate a bribery deal for the ship and another time she sang a space lullaby. This was such a special touch in the room!
Cabin configurations vary. Standard cabins sleep 4-5 guests (as pictured). There are also one bedroom Galaxy Class Suites available (sleeps up to 4) as well as two bedroom Grand Captains Suites (sleeps up to 8).
