It is so hard to believe that we are already in the month of May! The month can mean so many things. Generally the weather changes and summer is almost here, but one thing that many families celebrate is Mother’s Day. This day can be celebrated for any lovely lady in your life; mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, or even any mother figure in your life. If you are visiting the Disney Parks through mid-May with that special lady, be sure to treat them to a delightful treat or two while you’re there! Let’s see what will be available in the parks and resorts!
If you will be at Disneyland on Mother’s Day, there are two special dining options available. Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will offer a Mother’s Day Dinner Buffet. The buffet will feature so many delicious food options and even Disney character appearances! There is also one happening at Plaza Inn, located inside the Disneyland park, but for brunch. This fun option is hosted by Minnie Mouse and her friends! Both are only available on May 12th.
Also available for purchase at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will be a Mickey-shaped Mother’s Day Cookie and a box of Assorted Cookies. These items will be located at Grand Californian Great Hall Cart, but only from May 3 through May 13, 2024.
A few special treat locations like Candy Palace, Candy Kitchen, Trolley Treats and others will have a Tulip Cake Pop and Pink Minnie Caramel Apple available. The Tulip Treat Pop is a vanilla cake base that is dipped in a purple-white chocolate, then decorated with purple sugar and green marshmallow leaves.
On the East coast, Walt Disney World has a few different offerings for the Mother’s Day celebration! Some of the resorts, and definitely the parks are dishing up some delicious sweet treats.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, The Mara, will have a Sunflower Cake available from May 5 through May 18, 2024. The cake is designed with a marbled chocolate and vanilla cake, while the leaves are crafted with a vanilla buttercream. The center of the sunflower is mini chocolate chips.
Both Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Disney’s Boardwalk will all be offering a Mother’s Day Croissant. This fluffy croissant is filled with raspberry jam then topped with raspberry crunch pieces. This is new for the Mother’s Day celebration.
Returning to Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is the Bouquet of Roses Cupcake. A chocolate cupcake that has a strawberry pastry cream, chocolate mousse, and buttercream icing that is shaped like a bouquet of roses.
The final resort offering is at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. A Makuahine DOLE Whip Float will grace the menu from May 5 through May 18, 2024. The DOLE Whip is made with Banfi Rosa Regale Sparkling Red and then topped with edible flowers that feature a beautiful shimmer.
In Disney Springs there are two locations that we can always count on for sweet treats. Amorette’s Patisserie and The Ganachery have not let us down with the beautifully designed offerings. A Mother’s Day Eclair featuring flavors of lemon and lavender will be at Amorette’s Patisserie which will only be available between May 5 and May 12.. Hibiscus-strawberry and jasmine tea are the flavors of ganache squares that will be inside the Mother’s Day Chocolate Flower Box at The Ganachery. These are already available, starting May 1 and continuing until May 12.
