Destination D23 is in full swing at Walt Disney World resort in Florida this week with some amazing announcements. Disney Parks, Experiences and Products chairman Josh D’Amaro presented “Connections: A Look at the Future of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, “ and shared some awesome plans that are coming!

Let’s start with Disney Cruise Line! When the newest ship the Wish sets sail this summer guests will get to experience two new stage shows Walt Disney Theatre, including “Disney The Little Mermaid,” which will be a Broadway style reimagining of the original animated film. The show will have dazzling special effects, innovative theatrical design, artistic choreography, and a reimagined script and a musical score that will blow guests out of the water! The second show will be “Disney Seas the Adventure” which will follow Goofy as he discovers his own inner captain with the help of Captain Minnie and some of the other amazing Disney and Pixar cast.

If you have visited Walt Disney World in the last year or so specifically Epcot, you would have noticed all of the changes being made to the park. When you enter the park near Spaceship Earth there is going to be a new location called Dreamers Point with a spectacular view of the park as well as a statue of Walt Disney!

Also the new quick service location has been given the name, Connections Cafe and Eatery which will be in the World Celebration neighborhood of Epcot. Another amazing change that guests have been waiting for is the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open to Guests in summer 2022 in EPCOT as part of the Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary celebration!

These are just a few of the changes that have been announced. Be on the look out for more updates and exciting news coming from this amazing event!
