As Spring is coming to an end, and Summer is just around the corner, there have been so many announcements regarding the parks at Universal Orlando Resort. There has been some insight into three areas inside Universal’s Epic Universe, an official opening date of DreamWorks Land, and even a lineup of new entertainment inside both Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. What the thrill and fear seekers fans of Universal Orlando Resort are waiting for is the announcement of the haunted houses!
With roughly three months until the very first opening scaremony of the season, we only have one haunted house announcement. However, this does mean that more houses, entertainment, food and beverage options will all be released soon! Let’s check out the theme of the first released house.
The first house release is Slaughter Sinema 2. The first Slaughter Sinema debuted at Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights in 2018. I did not experience the first Slaughter Sinema, but I have seen some amazing reviews about it! Universal does describe the Slaughter Sinema 2 by stating “If you’re dying for a b-movie horror marathon, head to the Carey Drive-In. Scream through scenes from creature features, grindhouse gore, spaghetti westerns, and more.” It has also been teased that there will be 8 new movies featured in the Slaughter Sinema house.
While it is the first haunted house release for the upcoming Halloween Horror Nights season, there hasn’t been much more information released. There must be exciting things brewing behind the scenes since the first house release is an original house and not a big name production like Halloween, The Weekend, and Chucky.
