Select Character Sightings Now Available as Genie+ Options at Disney World!

Over the last year character meet and greets have looked a little differently. Guests were able to see some of their favorite characters throughout the parks but at a distance and hugging and autographs are not allowed. But the characters in true Disney fashion still make a magical experiences interacting with each guest. The times and appearances for characters have been sporadic and based off of traffic in the parks. Another great feature that we have experienced during this time is the cavalcade parades! These small parades happen at random times throughout the parks where a smaller sized parade graces the street with music and entertainment for the guests to enjoy! These are amazing and fun experiences for guests of all ages! Also the crowd size is smaller due to there not being scheduled times for these!

Character dining has been another modified experience but still a great option to see the characters during this time! Select locations still have appearances by our favorite friends. Guests can interact from a distance with Mickey, Minnie and even the Beast! Many of these dining locations tend to book faster than others so be prepared 60 days prior to arrival to reserve your dining times.

Changes are coming! Guests can use the Disney Genie+ service to see characters! Starting January 26 guests find that select character sightings have been added as selections for Lightning Lane entry with a purchase of Disney Genie+ service. Guests can purchase Disney Genie+ service in addition to the standby entrance. Here are the characters and locations being added:

• See Cinderella and a Visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom Park
• See Princess Tiana and a Visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom Park
• See Mickey at Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom Park
• See Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This will allow guests access to seeing specific characters they are looking to meet! Attractions with Lightening Lane entrances availability is limited, subject to change or closure, may vary by day and date, are not guaranteed and may not be available at all on the date of visit or at the time you make a selection. Please be sure to refer to the Genie+ and Lightening Lane terms and conditions before purchasing.
