Saving Time During the Holidays at Disney!

It comes as no surprise to most that Walt Disney World is busier during the holiday season. Disney is known for their celebrations and epic holiday events and even through the last year they have still hit epic proportions with these shows! As the parks and resorts get busier there are a few tips to help you make the most of your time!

Let’s start with before you go! If you haven’t already and you would like to have some sit down dining options reserving them ahead of time will allow for you to be prepared and not be looking for somewhere to eat when you’re out and about in the parks and Disney Springs. Another pre-arrival option that can help lessen the wait time in lines would be adding the Genie+ ahead of time! This new feature is a great way to help plan and utilize your time while in the parks. Genie+ allows you to schedule time to ride attractions. You would go into the My Disney Experience App and look to see what attraction you would like to start with for the park you have that reservation for. Once you ride that a traction you can make another. In the meantime you can experience another show or ride. This feature offers many more benefits that can be explored while using or you can refer to the Disney website:  https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/08/introducing-disney-genie/ .

Another great option is when you are shopping Disney is offering merchandise mobile checkout in select locations. This will allow guests to check out their purchase through the My Disney Experience app. Once their shopping experience is complete, Guests can show their purchase QR code and selected items to a Cast Member at the designated exit, and they're all set! If you are a pass holder that receives a discount make sure that the pass is linked to your account on the app. Here are the locations this can be used or will be available shortly:
