There are so many beautiful properties created by Sandals and their sister brand Beaches (family friendly) across the Caribbean islands. When choosing Sandals Royal Caribbean it came down to a few factors: distance from the airport, use of another facility, and the ability to scuba dive. This post will highlight the many reasons you should consider Sandals Royal Caribbean for your next vacation, honeymoon, anniversary, or even destination wedding.
Dining at Sandals Royal Caribbean provides options for every palette. As adventurous eaters, we were excited to be able to try new food at our home resort, and also try the eateries at the neighboring resort Sandals Montego Bay. Montego Bay is the flagship resort for Sandals and has been recently renovated. The ability to dine at both resorts made this a wonderful choice for our vacation to Jamaica. During our five-day stay, we ate at the following restaurants: Spices, Bombay Club, Royal Thai, Le Jaudenier, Soy, and La Tavola. We were also able to try out quick services such as Bella Napoli and Cafe De Paris. My favorite restaurant of our stay was Bombay Club as it gave us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy dining al fresco while watching the boats travel back and forth to the private island and overwater bungalows. It was also our go-to breakfast stop once we realized it was a sit-down breakfast with eggs benedict, steak and eggs, and even french toast! Another fan favorite from our travel group was Soy Sushi located at Sandals Montego Bay. We were able to dine near the sushi bar and feast on a variety of high-quality sushi and Asian-inspired appetizers. The wonderful thing about staying at a Sandals resort near another property is the ability to use their facilities without an added cost. No need to pay a day pass fee while staying at Sandals Royal Caribbean to use Montego Bay! Simply hop on the provided bus transportation and enjoy the resort!
Another thing we loved about this Sandals property is the ability to scuba dive if certified. Those guests that are not certified can also obtain certification on resort and scuba dive for free after paying the certification fee. As my husband is certified to scuba dive it was an added bonus when choosing brands and resorts as many properties will charge for Scuba diving excursions, and those can be really pricey! However, when you stay at Sandals you can rest assured that everything is included in the price aside from spa treatments, off-site excursions, candlelight private dinners, photo packages, spa/butler personnel tips, and special events. While not all of our friend groups were interested in Scuba diving there was so much to enjoy on property that was included in the cost: water sports such as paddle boarding and kayaking, glass bottom boat tours, and even land activities such as chess. And in the evenings the resort comes alive with performances from wonderful singers and dancers at both resorts! And if your travel partners are looking for the opportunity to tie the knot, Sandals provides FREE weddings for 3+ nights or longer stays!
Sandals Royal Caribbean is quieter than its sister resort, Sandals Montego Bay, and is the perfect resort for couples that want to relax at a slower place, but also have the opportunity to enjoy nightlife and more activities throughout their stay. With so many dining options among both resorts, activities included in your price and the ability to splurge on Butler Level services is a no-brainer when choosing a vacation! Whether you stay at Sandals Royal Caribbean, Sandals Curacao, or Sandals Negril…there is something for everyone…and it is always about two people that fell in love.
