I recently sailed on the Celebrity Equinox and it was truly such a great experience! As part of Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice-class, the Equinox offers a blend of modern design and classic elegance, ensuring a luxurious and sophisticated cruising experience.
I cruised with a fellow Marvelous Mouse Travels agent. We stayed in a prime inside stateroom, and to our delight, there was plenty of space for both of us. The room’s design provided ample storage and comfort, making it a cozy retreat after our daily activities.
When it comes to dining, the Equinox doesn’t disappoint. The Silhouette Dining Room, the ship’s main restaurant, offers a complimentary upscale dining experience. Each evening, we enjoyed a variety of dishes, from tender short ribs and flank steak to lobster tail and the classic baked Alaska. Having the same table and servers each night added a personal touch, allowing us to build connections with both the staff and fellow diners nearby.
For more casual meals, the Oceanview Café buffet provided a wide range of options throughout the day. The Mast Grill became our go-to spot for quick bites, serving tasty hamburgers (including veggie and turkey options) and hot dogs.
If you’re in the mood for something extra special, the Equinox offers several specialty restaurants at an additional cost. Murano serves exquisite French cuisine, while Tuscan Grille offers an Italian steakhouse experience. Le Petit Chef combines gourmet food with a unique 3D storytelling experience. Sushi on Five caters to Japanese food lovers with hot pots, noodles, and sushi. Café al Bacio is perfect for coffee enthusiasts, offering specialty brews alongside complimentary pastries and treats.
Entertainment is abundant on the Equinox. The Equinox Theater hosts nightly shows featuring talented singers, dancers, and aerialists. During our trip, we also enjoyed performances by a comedian and a magician, showcasing the diverse talent onboard.
The ship’s daily schedule, accessible via the Celebrity app, is packed with activities. From trivia, pool games, dance classes, adult coloring sessions, game shows, silent discos, live music, and more, there’s always something happening.
A truly unique experience onboard is the Hot Glass Class, where skilled glassblowers will guide you in creating your own glass pieces. While there’s an extra fee for this, it’s a memorable experience that you are unlikely to find again on a cruise ship!
For relaxation, the onboard spa offers a range of services, including massages, facials, hair treatments, and nail care. The Persian Garden Thermal Suite is a tranquil haven, featuring a sauna, steam room, tropical rain shower, and heated chairs with stunning ocean views.
The Equinox also boasts a variety of bars, lounges, and spaces to unwind. The Martini Bar is a lively spot where bartenders showcase their skills in nightly performances. Quasar, the ship’s nightclub, hosts karaoke sessions and late-night dancing, while the Sky Observation Lounge offers panoramic ocean views and transforms into a vibrant nightclub on select nights.
The Lawn Club, featuring a half-acre of real grass, provides a unique space to relax, play lawn games, or catch a movie on the big screen. For quieter moments, the Card Room offers board and card games, and The Library serves as a peaceful retreat to borrow a book or enjoy one you brought onboard.
