The Royal Court Royal Tea is an enchanting experience onboard Disney Cruises, where guests are treated to a royal-themed tea party hosted by Disney characters. The event takes place in the elegant Royal Palace restaurant, adorned with regal décor. Guests, especially children, can enjoy interactive storytelling, delicious treats and even meet some of their favorite Disney princesses and princes. It’s a magical opportunity to feel like royalty while sailing the seas.

My daughter and I recently enjoyed some royal tea onboard our Disney Cruise! We checked in with a Disney cast member who gave my daughter a name card with our table number on it. Hers read “Princess Eleanor of the Disney Dream.” This immediately set the tone for the rest of the experience. All of the guests were announced as they entered the restaurant. This made her feel very special. We were escorted to our table and there we found some incredible gifts for the attendants (this experience is intended for guests 3-11 years of age). At each child’s seat they found a velvet cape draped on their chair, an adjustable crown, their very own Royal Court Royal Tea set, and autograph book and pen, as well as a Gus-Gus stuffy in a tea cup. Each table had their own butlers that delivered and poured tea for all of the attendants.

The children’s “tea” was really just apple juice and the adult’s tea was a delicious floral variety. We were then brought a 3 tiered platter of both sweet and savory bites! There was a chocolate lasagna, cream and fruit filled shortbread cookies, macaroons, as well as cucumber sandwiches, ham sandwiches, and a few other savory offerings.
While we were dining on these treats, Belle, Cinderella and Tiana came to the restaurant and each told their own story. They came around to every table and signed the autograph books.

After that was done, each child was brought a yummy cupcake and the table was also presented with sugared scones and a side of cream and jam.

Once the food was cleared from the table, each child was called up one by one to have their picture taken with the 3 princesses. We then exited the restaurant and my daughter talked about how much fun she had for the remainder of the day! It was her favorite part of the cruise. And just when we thought that was all, we walked into our stateroom after dinner and found a beautiful folio with a printed picture of her and the 3 princesses. She was over the moon about this last surprise!

If you are thinking about booking the Royal Court Royal Tea, I would absolutely rate this experience as a 10 out of 10!! Please reach out to Alicia or to Marvelous Mouse Travels for more information or to work with a travel agent.
