Calling all Marvel and Avenger fans, or I might say “Avengers Assemble!” Have you been one to keep up with all of the Marvel series on Disney+? If so, you may have noticed a scene in the limited series “Hawkeye”, released on the streaming platform in November of 2021, where there was a musical created based on Captain America called “Rogers: The Musical.” This led many fans asking about the musical, and if there will ever be one.
This calls for the great news that was recently released from Disney California Adventure Park, there will be a short live version of the musical premiering June 30, 2023 at Hyperion Theatre. The theater can accommodate 2000 people for each showing. Valid theme park admission and park reservations are required for access to this live musical production. It has also been announced that it will only be performed for a limited time, but with no specific time frame currently announced except that it will be available during the Disney100 celebration.
Featured as the opening act in the Disney+ series, “Save the City” musical number will also be performed in the live version in the park along with many other original creations made especially for this production. There will also be some special appearances by the fictional characters Nick Fury, a spy and creator of the Avengers, and Peggy Carter, who is the love of Steve Rogers. The show is stated to follow the life of Steve Rogers from before he became Captain America up through his present day as part of the Avengers team.
Rogers: The Musical is approximately 30 minutes in length, and will be available to guests Tuesday through Saturday. There has not been an official release of times and dates that the show will be performed, but it will come as the debut date grows closer.
