This was our first time eating at Goody’s Kitchen and having eaten at Chef Mickey at least 15 times, I was anxious to see how they compared. Upon entering the Disneyland hotel to check in at Goofy’s Kitchen, we were greeted very nicely and were told our table was ready. Our reservations were for 11:30am so we unexpectedly got to choose from the breakfast and lunch options. After checking in, we stood in a very short line to have our picture taken with Goofy, the main chef. He was great and they let us take as many pictures as we wanted with our camera as well as theirs. Side note-these pictures do not show up on your photo pass.

After being seated we were greeted by our waitress and asked what we wanted to drink. We were told we could go to the buffet after ordering drinks. My husband, kids and I surveyed the food options and I went right to the ready to made omelet station. There was not a wait and in few shorts minutes the chef had my fresh veggie omelet cooked to perfection. I have to tell you, the omelet station is a game changer for me. You can customize your omelet however you would like. After getting an omelet, I helped myself to some bacon and a toasted bagel.
As I went back to the table my coffee was waiting and my children and husband were dining on French toast, sausage, assorted pastries, chicken tenders, tamale pie, and more. There was a fish option as well. All of the food was delicious.

While eating the characters came around and greeted all of the tables and children and took pictures with those that wanted them. The characters were: Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip and Dale. I loved the interaction the characters had with the kids and the fact that it was NOT crowded. It was so nice. The characters then danced around the restaurant and we waved our napkins while applauding our favorite Disney pals.
It was time for dessert and the kids enjoyed the scrumptious dessert selections including, make your own sundae, s'mores dessert with gooey marshmallow, cookies, cakes, and more. After dessert, we paid the bill and went to say goodbye to Goody before we headed to the parks. We asked if we could have individual pictures with Goofy and the Disney employee responded, “of course!” The kids loved seeing Goofy one last time. I told Goofy that my family was from the East coast and we usually go to Walt Disney World. I told him which restaurant we liked more-Chef Mickey or Goody’s Kitchen. You will have to eat at both and decide……
