This smaller, charming resort just received a little refresh that began in May 2024. It was scheduled to be finished in the Fall of 2024, but took a little longer than scheduled. The renovations have been finalized and we have all of the details!
While there are over 25 themed Walt Disney World resorts to choose from, the Mardi Gras-inspired resort features bright colors, smooth music, and the lush greenery of New Orleans.
Starting with the exterior of Port Orleans - French Quarter, the Doubloon Lagoon Pool area and Mardi Gras pool bar received a new facelift. It now features bright blues with the black and white tile accent.
Guests from many resorts travel to Disney’s Port Orleans - French Quarter to enjoy the fabulous Mickey-shaped Beignets at Scat Cat’s Club - Cafe! The free transportation from the resorts and parks make the trip even easier!
Now to the really important part of the renovations, the guest rooms! The new fabrics pay homage to the architectural designs of New Orleans. The artwork displays purple, green, and gold beads for Mardi Gras. And of course, the portraits are of the Princess of New Orleans, Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Louis and Charlotte of “The Princess and the Frog.” Looking into the other details of the room, the bathroom has designs of trumpets, drums, and even Tiana’s tiaras in the fine designs.
