Recently announced, Disney’s Paradise Pier at Disneyland Resort, has undergone construction to provide the resort with a little TLC. The new official name for the resort will be changed to Disney’s Pixar Place Hotel and will receive a new theme, Pixar! The outside of the hotel has already received a fresh coat of paint, and new theming, while the inside is still under renovations. Fear not, guests are still being welcomed into the hotel during the revamp. The new art concepts have also been released, and they look so magical!
Once renovations at Pixar Place are complete, guests will be welcomed into the lobby by the famous Pixar Lamp! I cannot wait to see this, as it brings back memories from my childhood and the opening of the films. Along with the rebrand and construction, there will be an addition of a new splash pad for the little travelers. The area is themed with Nemo and his friends of the deep blue sea. At the very top tower of the splash pad, you will find Crush greeting friends to splash their way down the 186 foot water slide!

After some time in the California sun, enjoy down time on the new deck designed for family fun! All of the activities on the family play court are inspired by Pixar Short Film characters. Here you will also be able to purchase food and drinks and relax under “The Blue Umbrella.” While on the pool deck at night, you will have a spectacular view of the Disneyland fireworks display from inside of the park!
While the splash pad and pool deck has an estimated completion time frame for later this summer, there is also something to look forward to while visiting this fall. A new restaurant, Great Maple, will be introduced to the hotel. It will be serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, featuring the comfort foods of Southern California. Some of the signature dishes that have been announced for the menu include Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Maple Bacon Donuts and Soda Pop Braised Baby Back Ribs.
If you have not booked your late summer or fall vacation for Disneyland, I recommend reaching out to Marvelous Mouse Travels for your upcoming Disney vacation! The new splash pad, pool deck, restaurant, and hotel lobby are more than enough reasons for a visit! The theme is family friendly, and the kids will have so much fun seeing some of their favorite characters displayed throughout the newly renovated resort.
