Disney Destinations shares that the final pieces of the ship were placed together in late 2024, which means the entire ship is in one piece  and the crew has already begun working on the interior of the ship.

Did you know that the Disney Destiny and the Disney Treasure were being built next to each other at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany?

Another amazing place that will call the Disney Destiny home is Cask and Cannon, a pub that is inspired by “Pirates of the Caribbean.” There will be a list of rums that will be served and specialty options developed for the pub. Other new lounges will also be on the ship. De Vil’s is a piano lounge, and The Sanctum which is inspired by Marvel’s Doctor Strange, the first of its kinds on Disney Cruise Line.

Let’s not forget the amazing broadway style performances onboard. Disney’s Hercules is all-new for the Disney Destiny and will retell the story of the film.

The amazing ship will call Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida its home for the time being. The inaugural season will offer four-night and five-night sailings to The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean. Ports included for these sailings include visits to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point; Disney Castaway Cay; Cozumel, Mexico; and Nassau, Bahamas. Port of call are subject to the individual sailing and can be changed at any time.
