Gear up for another Foodie Guide from Disney Destinations! From September 1, 2023 through November 2, 2023, Disneyland celebrates Dia de los Muertos with Plaza de la Familia! This celebration is held inside Disney California Adventure Park and even with some items in Disneyland Resort and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Throughout the parks, guests will find the most incredible new sipper, Coco Skull Sipper. This colorful beverage cup, or known as a sipper at Disney Parks, does include a fill of soft drink. Attached to the Sipper is a soft lanyard type strap for easy transportation around the parks. There is also a Coco Dante Straw Clip that also doubles as a great keychain! The Straw Clip is available with the purchase of a beverage. Both items are subject to availability.

Paradise Garden Grill is serving up seven different menu options along with Chips and Salsa. A new Chile Verde Chicken Flautas has been added to the menu this year which is being served with Spanish rice and pinto beans. Some of the other menu items include a Carnita Burrito, Chorizo Quesadilla, and Elote. Elote is a corn on the cob and smothered with cotija, crema, and chili powder. For the kids there is also a Cheese Quesadilla. For the sweeter side of things there is a beautiful Vanilla Layer Cake that is crafted with a sweet cream cheese frosting and displays bright colors of pink, red and orange. For the adults, a Watermelon Candy Cocktail has been added to the menu. A blend of pineapple juice, watermelon schnapps, and tequila with a chile-lime and chamoy rim served on the rocks, sounds delicious right?
A sweet treat will be offered at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta. The Horchata Cheesecake will have a sugar skull to top off the dessert. Grand Californian Great Hall Cart will also be serving up so many specialty items in part of the celebration. A new Horchata Cookie decorated with an edible photo of Coco and a Gingerbread Calavera Cookie crafted with white chocolate to resemble a skeleton!
