Pixar Fest 2024 kicked off in April 2024, and is now in full swing! The “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration” parade has premiered in Disney California Adventure Park. During the parade guests will spot favorites like Meilin Lee from “Turning Red” where she is her red panda self. Other Pixar Fest characters from “Turning Red” like Meilin’s Father, friends, and the pop group 4*TOWN also makes an appearance. Meilin Lee and her mother Ming Lee will be at Grizzly Peak.
If you are staying at or have some time to visit the newly renovated Pixar Place Hotel, you will find two very special Pixar Fest characters appearing. Bing Bong, from “Inside Out,” and Joe Gardner from “Soul” will both be greeting guests at the resort.
Inside Disneyland, guests can visit with Miguel from the film “Coco.” Miguel is also inside the parks during the Plaza de la Familia celebration from late-August through early November.
In the other park, Disney California Adventure, there are quite a few more Pixar Fest characters that roam pretty often and quite a few that are brand new to the parks!
For the first time, Mr. Incredible and Elastigrirl are greeting guests in their retro super suits! They can be found together at Hollywood Backlot. At Pixar Pier, guests will also be able to find Edna Mode and Frozone from “The Incredibles.” Also in the area will be Mike and Sully from “Monsters, Inc.”
Another fun, but furry friend that will be in the parks is Dug from “Up.” Dug can be found at Grizzly Peak near the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail which is a play area inside the park. The area consists of slides, a zip line, rock climbing wall, and more. This also offers a great spot for some downtime from the parks.
At the Pixar Pals Playtime Party there will be quite a few new and rare faces. The party is at Fantasyland Theatre and characters like Luca and Alberto from the film “Luca,” Ember and Wade from “Elemental,” and even Ian and Barley from “Onward” will all be there!
With so many events happening around the parks, it is a “must do” time to visit! Pixar Fest is created with families and the Disney Adult in mind.
