It is almost time for guests to experience the amazing Pixar Fest at Disneyland! These days are full of fun, characters, parades, and a special nighttime spectacular! For almost the entire Summer, April 26 through August 4, 2024, guests will be able to experience this limited time event. It’s perfect timing for those Summer break vacations! Let’s see what we can look forward to experiencing during this event!
The new parade at Disney’s California Adventure Park ‘Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration’ will be performed twice per day inside the park. Bright parade floats, characters, and music come together to create this fun experience! There will be over two dozen characters throughout the parade. Appearances by Red Panda Mei and her friends, Joe Gardner from “Soul”, and even characters from “Luca” will have their own float in the parade! There will also be favorites from “Toy Story”, “Monsters Inc.”, and even “Coco” will be represented! So many characters will be in one spot, moving and grooving to some fantastic music!
‘Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular’ will be shown over Disneyland on Aurora's Castle each night, and this year with all new scenes! Some of the new scenes that guests will enjoy are from “Luca,” “Elemental,” “Turning Red,” and more Pixar favorite films. During the show, the new Disney MagicBand+ will come to life and join in on the fun too! In addition to the nighttime spectacular on the castle, there will also be projections and music throughout the park.
The perfect way to burn some energy at the end of the night is Club Pixar! During the day is it the perfect place for photo ops, but at night the music and lights come alive and become a fun party! There will be a live DJ, more photo opportunities, and even special themed food available for purchase! If you’re heading to the parks during Pixar Fest at Disneyland, be sure to stop by the Hollywood Backlot for this fun time!
A special show will also be at Disneyland Park in the Fantasyland Theatre. The Pixar Pals Playtime Party is the perfect way to move and groove with your favorite Pixar characters. The show will also feature interactive games and activities!
As mentioned in most of the activities for the Pixar Fest, there will be plenty of character appearances! Between both parks, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, guests will be able to meet and take photos with even more characters than on a normal day! Your favorites from “Inside Out,” “The Incredibles,” and even “Elemental” will be making special appearances.
One thing you can always count on at the parks is special food and merchandise! Returning is the “Coco” inspired menu at Paradise Garden Grill inside Disney California Adventure Park. Other menu items at various locations include fun foods inspired by “Turning Red,” reimagined classics by “Ratatouille,” soul foods inspired by “Soul,” and even items for all of the emotions from “Inside Out.” Disney Destinations states that there will be an entire Foodie Guide coming for menu items just from Pixar Fest! Be on the lookout for that!
Merchandise for the event is looking like it will be the best yet! The premium popcorn bucket has been released and it will be nonother than the Pizza Planet Truck from “Toy Story!” This is going to be a hot item during the event! The new Spirit Jersey will feature characters like the Aliens from “Toy Story,” Miguel from “Coco” strumming his guitar, Lightning McQueen from “Cars,” and Mei Red Panda from “Turning Red.” A new crossbody bag that is blue in color and features the Pixar Ball on the front will also be available for purchase. Walt Disney World released a similar crossbody for the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, along with a few other designs.
