A few years ago, during every visit, we needed a cool and dimly lit place to sit while a child napped. Our favorite go-to was Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe. There is plenty of seating, the lighting is a bit on the dimmer side, and the air conditioning is refreshing on the hot park days. It also was a great place to choose because the food was great! The nachos were large enough to share as a hearty snack, or simply a meal for one with a good appetite. In recent news, my go-to nap time dining has received a new and revamped menu! Are you ready to see what your next visit to Walt Disney World has in store for you?
The first, and really exciting menu item is to create your own bowl! Guests can choose from Steamed Tamale Rice Bowl, Nacho Bowl, or a Southwest Caesar Salad as a base. The next layer is protein which consists of the options of Citrus-Chipotle Chicken, Coca-Cola Cherry Braised Beef, or Green Chili Pork. Each bowl comes with one protein, but extra or an additional protein can be added for an up charge.

The new create your own bowl is not the only thing joining the menu. New entrees and side items have also been added! We all know that side dishes are very important, so we will start with those. A Barbecue-Cheddar Seasoned French Fry and Charro Beans have been added as those new side menu items. The Cilantro-Lime Rice has not gone anywhere, and is still available as a side.
A Double Chili con Queso Burger is sure to hit the spot as the first new entree. It is a double stacked beef burger with a Chili con Carne, chipotle queso, plus corn chips on top. The second entree is a planted based item. A Grilled Masa Flatbread that features sweet potatoes, plant based pepper jack cheese, a scoop of stewed pinto beans, and topped with lettuce, pico de gallo, and a drizzle of lime crema.
To finish off the meal, a dessert from this menu is the perfect choice! The Mini Churros served with Chocolate Sauce, a Mexican Chocolate and Horchata Verrine, and Sweet Corn Mousse with white chocolate and a raspberry powder are the options from Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe.
