Sandals Royal Curaçao is the perfect place to relax, disconnect and enjoy time with your favorite person. We did just that! This resort is in the Northern section of the Island of Curaçao and is along the Spanish Water Bay. This resort opened on June 1, is absolutely beautiful, and speaks my hotel snob language. Everything is new and fresh. Over 351 rooms and suites to choose from. We chose a Butler Category Room, and it was incredible! Our room had an oversized balcony which overlooked the resort and beachfront. It was a perfect place to begin the day and end the night.
Our 3 butlers were out of the world attentive and their service was excellent. Everything from reserved pool seats, reservations at restaurants, excursions, spa treatments and even surprises were handled by them. We did not have to do anything but decide what drink to order. The best surprise was our candlelight dinner. I highly recommend a butler category room.
The food at Sandals Royal Curaçao was amazing. With 11 restaurants to choose from including food trucks you are sure to experience some truly fantastic meals. Our favorite restaurants were Aolos, a Mediterranean dining experience and Butch's island Chop House. Aolos had a greek pastry called Spanakopita it was as good as our Yia Yia makes! At Butch's the steaks and lamb chops were great, but the apple slice was to die for! Get the warm apple slice, you will not regret it! Pick any of the restaurants, and you will not be disappointed.
The spa and salon features many treatments. We decided on a couples Swedish massage. Our treatment room had a patio that opened to hear the crashing waves from the beach as you were getting your message. Total relaxation!
Most of our days were spent by the 2 level infinity pools. The atmosphere was lively and full of entertainment surrounded by a light breeze. We could not ask for a better vacation spot. We definitely found paradise here.
