If you’re sailing on the Disney Wish and you have Frozen-loving kiddos, Olaf’s Royal Picnic is one of the most magical—and exclusive—experiences you can book. Dining inside Arendelle is already unforgettable, but this special ticketed event takes the Frozen fun to an entirely new level.
As a travel planner who has been on the Disney Wish multiple times, I can confidently say this is one of the most charming Disney Cruise Line experiences ever created.
Olaf’s Royal Picnic happens once per sailing on the Disney Wish, and only 20–30 families get the chance to attend. It feels like being invited to a private royal celebration in Arendelle—warm, whimsical, and full of joy.
When you walk inside, the space is decorated with colorful flowers, ribbons, and classic red-and-white checkered picnic blankets that instantly transport you into an Arendelle summer day (minus the melting snowman!).
This event is designed for kids ages 3 to 12, and each child receives an impressive collection of high-quality Frozen-themed gifts. Pricing can vary, but currently it runs $250 per child and $75 per adult.
One of the most unforgettable parts of Olaf’s Royal Picnic is the character interaction. Instead of standing in lines, Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf come right to your table for personal conversations, sweet moments, and giggles.
The event ends with a group photo featuring all the characters, and yes—this includes a complimentary professional photo you cannot get anywhere else, even in the Disney Parks.
The show opens with Baroness Dagmar Birgir (Anna’s childhood best friend and lady-in-waiting), whose energetic storytelling sets the mood perfectly. Throughout the experience, the characters perform favorites such as:
Kids are encouraged to sing along, and one of the sweetest moments was watching my son strum his ukulele that he received as a gift while Kristoff performs. Pure Disney Wish magic.
There isn’t a set menu, but Cast Members circulate with a steady stream of drinks—water, lemonade, tea—and a variety of tasty sandwiches and desserts. Food allergies can be accommodated.
A favorite surprise? The “ice cream bar” that isn’t ice cream at all—it’s filled with delicious carrot cake! And every child receives a special Olaf-themed cupcake as the grand finale.
