Hello there my Walt Disney World friends! There has been some major and exciting news shared from Disney Parks! Beginning January 9, 2024 guests with the qualifying ticket will be able to Park Hop til they drop all day! Yes you read that correctly! The date of January 9, 2024 brings many changes with the Park Hopper time frame, the return of the Disney Dining Plan, and guests being able to attend the parks without a theme park reservation!f
When Park Hopping was reintroduced back into the parks after the shut down, guests were only able to Park Hop to a different park after 2 p.m. On January 9th and moving forward, guests will be able to determine when they want to move to a different park, as long as capacity limits have not been exceeded and they have a valid Park Hopper ticket.
There will still be select days that Annual Passholders will be required to make Park Pass Reservations, along with those select non-dated tickets, but they will be able to move to a different park after they have scanned into the first selected park they chose. Other news for Passholders has also been announced regarding Park Pass Reservations. There will be “Good-to-go” days where Annual Passholders will not need to make those theme park reservations for the parks, and they will be “good-to-go” into the parks. There will still be the select blackout dates, and dates that do require theme park reservations, so keep an eye on the calendar.
Within the last few months, Walt Disney World has slowly reintroduced additions back into the parks like the complimentary self-parking for resort guests. This was welcomed back in January 2023. Annual Passholders also do not need a theme park reservation to visit the parks after 2 p.m, except for the weekend at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park. Also Disney Genie+ including the attraction photos with the purchase of the program, which began in March 2023. The most recent being the Trams being placed back into the parking lots of all four theme parks at Walt Disney World with the final park being added in September 2023.
