On June 10, 2024 there was a special presentation called “Dig A Little Deeper” that was held inside the Hall of Presidents attraction in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. During this time, there were many guest speakers regarding the grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The official opening date for the attraction is set to June 28, 2024, but it has already had a soft opening for cast member previews, media previews, and now Annual Passholder previews.
The presentation showcased behind the scenes footage of the attraction including the technology used to create the ride, the voices of some of the characters and a special performance by PJ Morton who sang “Special Spice,” which is one of the brand new original songs from the attraction.
Also during this special presentation there were a few more exciting pieces of news shared! Country Bear Jamboree, which closed on January 24, 2024 for a short refurbishment period, now has a reopening date! On July 17, 2024 the musical show will reopen its doors to guests featuring new costumes, songs, and new memories to be made! Wendell and Big Al made an appearance at the “Dig A Little Deeper” show in their new apparel.
Has anyone missed Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Wait no more, returning Fall 2024, with no set date just yet, will be The Little Mermaid - Musical Adventure which will take place of the previous show inside Animation Courtyard. The new stage show will combine the art of puppetry and animation plus include songs like “Kiss the Girl” and “Daughters of Triton.”
Some other mentions of exciting things happening at Walt Disney World that you do not want to miss is the new “Disney Dreams that Soar Presented by AT&T” at Disney Springs. This new drone show is sure to captivate the audience as favorite characters soar above the sky. The return of Typhoon Lagoon H2O Glow is returning for Summer 2024. Enjoy the water park after dark with its glow, dancing, and low attraction lines. The event also includes select complimentary snacks. “Encanto” Summer Sing-Along at EPCOT is also now at the brand new CommuniCore-Plaza Stage.
