Announced a few months ago, EPCOT has four new Global Marketplace booths during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and they will continue to stay through the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. While they have officially opened the new Global Marketplace booths, there are also new items at Connections Cafe, Connections Eatery, Sunshine Seasons and Space 220!
Connections Cafe, a newer eatery that opened in April 2022, has one new and already available sweet item on the menu. A Croissant Doughnut, yes you read that correctly, that is covered in cinnamon and sugar is a mouthwatering treat. The new Black Forest Baumkuchen, also known as the German Tree Cake, has a new twist for the festival. The thin layered cake is topped with chantilly cream, chocolate sauce drizzle, and cherries. This can be found at Connections Eatery, which is located within the same building as Connections Cafe.
Sunshine Seasons will also be offering some new sweet treats this year. The Peanut Butter Whoopie Pie is created by placing two brownie pieces together with peanut butter filling and rolled in chocolate shavings. The Key Lime Parfait looks absolutely refreshing, as well as the Fruit Tart, both of which have been available for a few weeks now.
On September 20, 2023, Space 220 celebrated two years of welcoming guests. To help celebrate, they have added four new food items and two new dessert options. A Neptune Tartare, Roasted Asparagus Soup, 16 oz Slow Roasted Pork Chop, and finally a Pan Roasted Swordfish “Cioppino” are the new food menu items. The newest dessert options include a Vanilla Bean Greek Yogurt Parfait and a Cosmic Cupcake, which is plant based and only available on the children's menu.
Four new Global Marketplaces are officially open for business and serving up delectable tasty treats. First is the Wine & Wedge, located near Disney Traders, has four menu items, three of which are on the Emile’s Fromage Montage. A Artisanal Cheese and Accompaniment plate, Boursin Fig & Balsamic Souffle, and Southern Pimento Cheese with bread-and-butter pickled vegetables. Also available is an Artist Palette of Wine and Cheese.
The next Marketplace is Char & Chop also located near Disney Traders. Here you will find a Roasted Porchetta, Grilled IMPOSSIBLE Spicy Sausage, and Meat Assorti.
The third Marketplace, Bubbles and Brine, can be found on the walkway across from Port of Entry. Here guests will find a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and a Jonah Crab Claw Cocktail along with three bubbly beverages.
The fourth and final new Marketplace inside EPCOT is the Swirled Showcase. which is also on the walkway across from Port of Entry. A new Mickey Shaped Nitro Cake, three flavors of soft serve, and two different types of ice cream floats will be on the menu when it opens. Also available will be five different beverages, two non-alcoholic and three containing alcohol.
The final new item that will grace us with its presence at EPCOT is the new Disney100 Purple Mickey Balloon Popcorn Bucket! These are adorable, and sure to sell out quickly!
