EPCOT, located inside of Walt Disney World Resorts, has been receiving some really great renovations and additions this year, and there has been another added to the list! Inside the Japan Pavilion, there will be a new restaurant serving fresh sushi of multiple varieties.
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya will be joining the list of table service restaurants inside of EPCOT. This theme park is known for the wide variety of cuisine available year round, and even more during the different international festivals that are featured throughout the year.
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izkaya will be located on the second floor of the Japan Pavilion, and will be opening in summer 2023! Being located above the rest of the pavilion, there will be fabulous views of EPCOT during the day, and even better in the evening when the fireworks spectacular is taking place.
Each month the menu will change to feature “Japanese seasonal festivals” as Disney Travel News describes the experience. The decor is said to be lanterns and hand painted art work, which sounds very peaceful and relaxing during a busy day at the parks. As is customary throughout the respective pavilions in the park, the cast member on hand will hail from the country of Japan. Fully knowledgeable of the customs and culture, they will be there to assist and guide park guests through each special festival, allowing you to get the absolute most out of this extraordinary experience.
Along with the full menu of Japanese delicacies of sushi and teppan items, the table service restaurant will have a sushi bar and grill. For guests who know and love sushi, to those trying it for the first time, folks can sit at the bar and watch the chef prepare their favorite rolls fresh, right in front of them. The Monster Roll, Kobore Sushi, and the Tokyo Negi Roll are just a few of the favorites from the sushi bar.
